1. Integrated Swedish-Deep Tissue Massage No hippie-dippy fluff-and-buff here. This massage is the real deal: a gently firm and uniquely satisfying blend of Swedish and deep tissue techniques, acupressure, foot reflexology and special attention to your aches and pains. Depending on your preferences, guided breathwork, light stretching, and other yogic techniques may also be used, especially during sessions of 100 minutes or more. Our holistic massage is excellent for injury recovery, improved range of motion, tension relief and chronic pain. These sessions may address the full body, or you may ask your therapist to focus on one or two areas that really need attention. It's your session. It's up to you. 70- and 100-minute Swedish and deep tissue sessions include the yummy Mission Burrito Treatment, a soothing San Francisco treat in which your back is stacked with perfectly heated towels and you are wrapped up warmly while the heat melts your muscle tension away. If you like, custom aromatherapy blends may be added to your session at no extra cost (or we can keep it unscented, if you prefer.) Depending on how you want to keep the focus of your session, massages may end with a wrinkle-defying facial massage and soothing hot towels to leave your skin feeling clean and soft. 70 minute Integrated Wellness Massage: $100 100 minute Integrated Wellness Massage: $120 . . . 2. Shiatsu Developed in Japan, Shiatsu is a finger-pressure technique that uses traditional acupuncture points. Similar to acupressure, this work concentrates on unblocking the flow of life energy and restoring balance in the meridians and organs in order to promote self-healing. Pressure can be anywhere from light and meditative to that firm "hurts so good" some people like in their massage. Shiatsu's many benefits include pain relief and immune system strengthening. relief from anxiety, back pain, headaches, Insomnia, constipation, skin problems and more. The treatment brings about a sense of relaxation while stimulating blood and lymphatic flow. Like Tui Na and Apotheca's chair massage, Shiatsu is another terrific option for those who want all the great benefits of massage but would like to remain clothed for their bodywork. Tui Na Chinese Medical Massage The Traditional Chinese Medicine form of therapeutic bodywork, Tui Na utilizes shaking, rolling, stretching, pressing, tapping, and kneading that removes stagnation along the meridians of the body and stimulates the flow of Qi and blood to promote healing. If you like deep, vigorous styles like shiatsu and Thai massage, you will love Tui Na. It is perfect for getting to the root causes of chronic and acute pain from trauma, strain, sports injury, repetitive motion, and the rigors of daily life. Effective for neck and back pain, frozen shoulder, carpal tunnel syndrome, and hip, leg and knee pain, Tui Na can also help to combat the effects of stress. This massage is done through your clothes and without massage oil in a specially-designed massage chair. It is perfect for tense desk workers and anyone who prefers their massage to be performed clothes-on. It will leave you relaxed, refreshed and ready to face the day a new person. and post-natal massage to support mamas from pregnancy through the
postpartum period. Apotheca's prenatal massage is done in a sidelying
position and bolstered with pillows to make mama-to-be comfortable
on the table. Prenatal massage helps with the joint and muscle pains
that come with the added and redistributed weight of pregnancy, and
helps relieve other side effects such as constipation, insomnia and
water retention. Postpartum massage is excellent for soothing the
new mama's often-frazzled nerves, supporting lactation, addressing
neck and shoulder tension from feeding and carrying baby, and it helps

Peak Performance Sports Massage. Sports massage can be an integral part of your training program. Athletes, marathoners, cyclists, weight lifters and Biofreeze junkies: this massage is for you. Sports massage may be performed clothed or unclothed. For those days when you are pressed for time and just needing work in a specific area. For this integrated deep tissue/Swedish table massage, your therapist will craft a session that pinpoints the problem area of your request. Good plans for Strategic Sessions may be neck and shoulder work, or IT bands, quads, knees and calves, or carpal tunnel conditions. Please leave a note about where you would like to focus your session when you make your appointment and your therapist will talk you through a plan when you come in. Our punctual, positive, professional CMTs are available for event and office visits. Treat your guests to a pampering party they'll remember-- perfect for wedding events and boys' and girls' nights in. Or, if you are an employer, what better way to foster employee wellness and inject a serious morale boost into a Monday morning or a Friday afternoon than to offer office massage? You may treat your employees, split the cost, or allow them to sign up and pay for massage themselves. Visits can be arranged weekly, monthly, or just for office holidays and special occasions. Corporate and event chair massage is done fully clothed in a special chair, and sessions generally run between 15 and 25 minutes. On-site massage organizers receive a free 30-minute chair massage session for every visit of three hours or longer. ... A la Carte: Full-body dry brushing $10. Energy Therapies: Gentle and effective, energy work helps you keep focused, assists in balancing emotions, and helps the body facilitate its own healing. This work is excellent for releasing chronic tension, alleviating sleep problems and restoring energy. Energy healing services are by appointment with Kirsten and Eri only. Clients are fully clothed for both full-session therapies. (Reiki add-ons are performed post-massage, so clients will be undressed for massage but fully covered with sheets and a blanket. Polarity Therapy. A fully-clothed hands-on session, Polarity Therapy focuses on balancing the human electromagnetic energy field (yes, we really do all have one).
