* Privacy and Confidentiality: We value your privacy as we value our own. Everything you say in the course of a session or write in your intake paperwork or other communications will be kept confidential except when required by law. We will never sell, lend, give or otherwise share your contact or other personal information with a third party.

* Cancellation: To cancel your appointment please call 415.573.9077. We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. We reserve your session time especially for you and often have a long waiting list of folks who would love to take your spot. So any appointment cancelled less than 24 hours in advance will be subject to a charge of 50% of your session rate or a complete forfeit of your gift certificate if you are using one, unless we are able to fill your appointment slot. To avoid being billed please send a friend along in your place if you find that something last-minute has come up.

If you are cancelling within 24 hours, please contact your therapist directly via email.

* If you are running late for an appointment, call your therapist directly or call the main line at 415.573.9077. If you get a recording, please leave a message, since we are likely with another client. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we will cut into your scheduled session time.

* If you are more than 20 minutes late and you do not call us to let us know, we'll assume you aren't coming and we will feel free to leave the office. You will be billed at 50% of your session rate.

* If you "no-show" we will think you terribly rude and wonder why your mother didn't teach you better. We'll also bill you 50% of your session rate.

* Payment: We accept cash and Paypal credit card payments from first-time clients. Payments via Paypal will come with a service fee as applied by that company. Checks are welcome from repeat clients. Checks should be made out to "Apotheca." Returned checks come with a $40 fee.

* Rates and Tipping: No additional tipping is expected on top of our rates. The best "tips" you can give us are your regular visits and your referrals to family and friends.

* Discounts cannot be combined. If you qualify for more than one discount, please use only one per session. (More about discounts below.)

* Minimum age of massage clients is 18 years.

* Minimum age of skincare clients is 16 years. All clients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

* Suggestions: If you have a suggestion or if you had a less-than-stellar experience with us, please send us a note and give us a chance to fix what ever the problem was. We're nice people who aren't here to make a million but who are putting our hearts and souls into offering you the very best service we possibly can. Your honest feedback is the number one best tool we have to make that happen.

* Appointments: Easy! Just click the Book an Appointment link above to schedule your session time automatically. The schedule is updated in real time so the appointments you see there are what we have available. We do book up quickly--sometimes up to two months in advance. The solution? Plan ahead and be patient. We look forward to working with you.

Unemployment and student discounts are: * available on weekday sessions from 1pm to 4pm. * good for sessions of 70-minutes or longer. * reserved for full-time students with valid student IDs and unemployed folks with current EDD stubs. * When you make your appointment online, please enter "EDD" or "STUDENT" in the promotion code field

* A note on patience: We are committed to keeping our practice slow, small and personal. Because we are not a fully-staffed spa or clinic with receptionists and scheduling help, your call or email may likely come while we are in the middle of a 10-hour day. We will make every attempt to return your call within 48 hours, and we appreciate your patience as we work together to schedule the appointment time that is right for you.
