This is not your auntie's stuffy spa and this is not the coin-op mall skincare kiosk. Instead, it's an easy-going place where you can come in, relax, and get some good work done on your skin. We provide a friendly environment and laid-back, non-judgmental and highly trained skincare therapists who will never make you feel criticized or try to scare you into a series of expensive and potentially damaging services your skin doesn't need. We firmly believe that you're already gorgeous (yes, you.). Our job is to help you bring out and maintain the glow you already have inside. Whether you have general concerns or something more specific, like teenage or pregnancy, we will help you reach your skincare goals with a custom treatment plan and home care regimen formulated just for you. Apotheca is all about effective, healthy and personalized skincare and since the treatments we provide are tailored to the unique skin you're in, they are suitable for men and women of any age or ethnicity.

With all skincare treatments, our first step will be to discuss your wishes and concerns and then create a plan of action based on your goals and your skin's needs. Depending on these, your custom session may include any combination of deep pore cleansing to purify acne and blemished skin; anti-aging vitamin masks to soften fine lines and wrinkles; firming fruit acids to reveal radiant skin, increase circulation and reverse environmental damage; and brightening treatments to combat hyperpigmentation (scarring and "age spots").

For a clinical deep cleansing of congestion (acne, blackheads, blemishes) we will devote ample time to manual extractions and less or no time to massage. For non-clinical facial treatments of 60- and 75 minutes, we will include a taste of blissful scalp, face, neck, arm and hand massage. 90-minute sessions include all of the above plus an additional custom treatment mask and foot massage. We finish with delicious treatment products for your face, neck, eyes and lips.

We offer some of the best technologies around to augment our treatments (such as high frequency, LED, ultrasonic penetration and ultrasonic scrubbing, which gives superior exfoliation without the abrasion that microderm can cause). Still, nothing compares to a well-trained and intentional human touch. That's why all our Custom Facial Treatments include circulation-promoting, face-lifting, detoxifying facial massage. Our hands are truly our best tools.

Glow of Pregnancy Facial Treatments Prenatal through postpartum: Skincare for the childbearing year

Especially for pregnancy and recent postpartum, our skincare for mamas addresses some of the challenges women face during this special time. Your esthetician will focus on common concerns such as melasma ("pregnancy mask"), hormonal acne, excessive oiliness and dry patches, using only ingredients and technologies that are appropriate for pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Teen Deep Clean For clients aged 16 to 19.

This treatment addresses the special needs of younger skin with deep pore cleansing. Facial steaming and exfoliation are followed by gentle, extended extractions. We finish with a detoxifying mask and protective finishing products tailored to the skin's individual needs. We will discuss diet, lifestyle and home routine to get teens started on a lifetime of healthy skin habits. Clients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Back Treatment Banish backne, erase hyperpigmentation, and get kneaded to perfection.

Your back is steamed, deep-cleansed, and the either wrapped with seaweed-based mask to aid in detoxification or treated with a brightening enzyme complex to reduce the signs of sun damage (or both). Any impurities we find are gently extracted and then afterward you are treated to a deep, directed back and neck massage to leave you feeling great and walking tall.

Bright Eyes and Soft Lips Treatment: add $25

Gentle exfoliation and a softening and de-puffing mask give the lip and eye areas a more firm and youthful appearance. Add this treatment to minimize fine lines and leave looking refreshed and renewed.

Glycolic/Enzyme peel: add-on $20; stand-alone $50, six-pack $285.

Add this service to supercharge your exfoliation, address hyperpigmentation, and reveal your most youthful skin. Peels are not for everyone. Please contact us for a consultation.

Lymphatic drainage facial massage: add $15

Add this service for extra de-puffing of the eye, “jowl” and chin areas. Perfect for the morning after a long night out, or for lines and puffiness brought on by allergies and sinus congestion.

Foot Reflexology: add $35

Yummy foot massage coupled with directed pressure to stimulate and rejuvenate internal organs make the session over-the-top relaxing.

Policies and Guidelines for Waxing Clients:

Hair must be grown for a minimum of three to four weeks prior to waxing. Five weeks is even better.

For best results, do not shave or tweeze between waxing sessions.

Book waxing sessions about 4 weeks apart until hair growth cycle is in sync. This will eventually leave your skin smooth longer and your hair growth more sparse and fine between appointments.

Waxing increases sun sensitivity; Avoid sun three days before and after waxing. Always use sunscreen on waxed areas.
Please avoid sweaty exercise for at least six hours before body waxing and 12 hours after.
Also avoid hot baths, Jacuzzis, saunas and other heated situations for at least 24 hours after body waxing.
Women will be more sensitive to pain around your period. Please schedule accordingly.

Life can be unpredictable and you never know how your skin may react to a treatment or procedure. We recommend that you schedule your waxing services three to five days before a special event.

Accutane, Retin-A and antibiotics cause skin sensitivity. To ensure that waxing doesn't lift or pull the skin, we will not wax clients who are using these medications.
- Accutane users must wait 12 months after the last dose before waxing.
- Retin-A users must wait six weeks after the last use before waxing.

If you have recieved Botox or Restalyne injections, please wait one week before scheduling facial waxing.
